The Tyee Gals Are At It Again

The Tyee group meets to talk about what they have done thus far and decide on their next steps in creating their iBook.

It’s the Thursday before the long weekend, but it may as well be Monday for the Tyee Tablet Gals of the Western Journalism program considering how hard they are working. In their ongoing effort to convert the content from the news website Tyee.com into tablet form, today’s brainstorming session involved assigning tasks to individual members.

The conversation was mostly about aesthetic considerations and role designation-Creating a stylebook, making video trailers for the book, and deciding what type of audio/visuals would best accompany the articles.

The gals discuss their goals for the upcoming week

Gillian Wheatley naturally navigated towards the role of project coordinator. Think of her like a bridge between the Tablet Girls and the Tyee proper.

Instructor Wayne MacPhail explains to the group what their focus should be at this point with converting the Tyee articles into an iBook format.

Doris Wong is working on the timeline for the Tyee articles.

Nanette Van Doorn is working on the Tyee progress report to update the class on what the Tyee group has been doing the last three weeks.

Each Tyee member discusses what they are working on at this point and their plans for next week.
